Understanding the OO phenomenon: An author co-citation analysis

摘要：
It is increasingly obvious that Object-Orientation (OO) is not just hype. Surveys project staggering investments in OO by the end of the millennium. However, some recent reports suggest that OO entails major investments in training and infrastructure, primarily because it is conceptually different from the traditional approach to software development. This research uses Author Go-Citation Analysis (ACA) to show that OO is indeed conceptually different from the structured paradigm.
