Effect Analysis of Skidding Damage on Cylindrical Roller Bearing Performance Based on Model and Experimental Study

摘要
In this paper, the cause and extension process of initial skidding friction point are analyzed based on the working condition and mechanical model of aero-engine cylindrical roller bearing. Then the formation mechanism of bearing skidding damage is indicated. The effect of skidding damage is evaluated based on the model study, damage morphology analysis and experimental verification. The results show that skidding damage is formed mainly due to unlubricated friction between roller and inner steel sleeve because the oil film is crushed. Skidding damage is conducive to rotate rollers and match linear speed between rollers with inner steel sleeve. Skidding damage is conducive to roller rotation and linear velocity match with steel sleeve. And skidding damage will not expand or deteriorate when subsequent rollers pass through skidding stripe. So skidding damage does not affect the working safety of the bearing.
