摘要
Alfonz Torma belongs to the first generation of Czechoslovak landscape and garden architects, working since the sixties of the 20th century in the Slovak part of the Czechoslovak republic. His work during the fifty years of his creative activity represents a wide range of garden and landscape design projects from private gardens, through exposition design for garden exhibitions, design of greenery for new parks, public spaces and historic gardens, to urban and landscape greenery planning. The paper presents the characteristic features of his work, using the archive collection of his hereditaments, collected by his former colleague Dana Marcinkova. Alfonz Torma, through the design compositions and usage of plants, has elevated the horticulture and gardening in Slovakia towards art. He has worked with many architects and artists and his work appertains to the Slovak landscape architectural heritage of the 2nd half of the 20th century.
