摘要
Boiling heat transfer is an efficient yet not fully understood mode of heat transfer. Many studies have been reported that claim high critical heat fluxes from microstructured surface and new correlations have been developed to explain the enhancement. Data from literature has been compared to isolate the effect from microstructured surfaces, The effect of heater wettability and size is examined. The purpose of this study is to isolate the sources of increased critical heat flux; wettability, heater size, or surface modification. It has been found that the heater size and surface modification effects are inter-mixed.
