Magnetization of quasi-two-dimensional conductor η-Mo4O11

摘要
We have measured the magnetization of eta-Mo4O11 Single crystal. The temperature dependence of magnetization shows a sharp bend at T-c1 and an inflection point at T-c2, suggesting that the two-dimensional Fermi surfaces vanish at T-c1 and the remaining quasi-one-dimensional Fermi surfaces nest at T-c2. Landau diamagnetism plays an important role in the low temperature region, indicating that the effective mass of the remaining Fermi surfaces in the be-plane is less than that of free electrons.
