On aesthetic pre-eminence - Tracing the primordial relationship between theology and the language of art

This article takes up a critical stance toward the priority of theology over aesthetics, as usually admitted among theologians. The work of Maurice Bellet opens the way to a new relationship between both. What comes first is the primordial relation, that is the relationship between humans. From that immediately follows the language of art as the first trace of the human quest.
