Deep Dermatophytosis combined with Tinea corporis

Fungal infections of the skin and adnexa are common in everyday dermatological practice. According to clinical manifestation, there are different therapy options available. We present a patient with deep granulomatous dermatophytosis combined with tinea corporis and onychomycosis. The case is remarkable because of the co-infection with two different fungal pathogens, potentially facilitated by pre-existing diabetes, representing a therapeutic challenge.
