Load Balancing Oriented Deployment Policy for 5G Core Network Slices

摘要
Network slicing (NS) is one of the key technologies of the 5G network. It divides the operator's physical network into multiple virtual networks according to different service requirements in order to flexibly cope with different vertical application scenarios. A load-balancing 5G end-to-end slicing resource allocation strategy is proposed. Load balancing is beneficial for avoiding physical resource fragmentation, which can improve the resource utilization ratio of the physical network. The NS embedding problem is first formulated as an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) model. Especially, a coordinated NS virtual nodes and links mapping algorithm is designed, in which physical nodes' and links' resources are utilized in a balanced manner. Finally, experimental results show that the algorithm achieves higher request acceptance ratio and improves the physical resource utilization.
