Solubility of boric acid in aqueous solutions of magnesium phosphates

摘要
Solubility in the B(OH)(3)-P2O5-MgO-H2O system is studied at 15 and 90 degrees C. It is found that at 15 degrees C the system belongs to the simple eutonic type with the fields of crystallization of magnesium dihydrogen phosphate tetrahydrate and boric acid. At 90 degrees C, the fields of crystallization of boric acid, magnesium hydrogen phosphate trihydrate, and magnesium borophosphate are found in the system. Concentration and temperature boundaries for the resulting compound 2MgO . B2O3. P2O5. 7H(2)O are determined.
