Spread spectrum PRMA and minimum reservation capacity spread spectrum PRMA for microcellular networks

摘要
A spread spectrum PRMA (SSPRMA) is proposed in this paper. We analyze its average data packet access delay (Dav) and the probability of voice packet being dropped (Pdrop) by computer simulation. Numerical results prove that SSPRMA enjoys a higher statistical multiplexing gain, however, performance of SSPRMA suffers drastic deterioration under heavy load condition. A modified SSPRMA named minimum reservation capacity SSPRMA (MSSPRMA) is proposed to alleviate the drastic deterioration, simulation results prove that MSSPRMA is very effective in alleviating the drastic deterioration of performance of SSPRMA.
