About Mythological Temptations of Russian History and Culture

In article is presented the author's own idea, that the important characteristic of Russian civilization is the mythological comprehension of history and political tradition. The article analyses the character of changes in the choice of political values during from Medieval Russia to Contemporary Russia. The author comments on some aspects of forming of Christian political ideals in the Russian cultural context. The representation of "man of Russian culture" about sense of history can be traced back to the beginning of Christianity. In my thesis I ask whether Russian cultural and political tradition is differing from others National versions of Christendom. This article also analyses the transformation of political tradition in the spiritual self-awareness of Russian Empire and Contemporary Russia which demonstrates how this process the translation of Christian "sense of history" becomes evident.
