摘要
Topology optimization method is applied to improve shock resistance of suspension using a formulation that maximizes resonant frequencies while reducing effective mass. The design method is successfully used to obtain optimum solutions, which have tapered features in width and thickness and thin flexural linking to a dimple pad. The design features of suspensions impart less inertial force to the slider and thus are able to suppress tendency of head lift-off.
