摘要
This paper proposes a new five-level voltage source converter for medium-voltage (MV) and high-power applications. The proposed converter can operate over a wide range of voltages (2.4-7.2KV) with fewer number of power switches and components compared to the available five-level power converters. The operation of the proposed converter is studied and analysed. To control the proposed converter, a space vector modulation (SVM) strategy is developed that employs the switching state redundancies to control output voltage and voltage of flying capacitors. The performance of the proposed converter is studied under different operating conditions in MATLAB/Simulink..
