摘要
Secondary devices arc important components of a substation. The overvoltage due to the short circuit fault may interfere and do harm to the secondary devices. Based on the short circuit test of a 500 kV converter station, the overvoltage of secondary cables in the substation was measured. The ground potential distribution of the grounding grid was calculated. Results show that the ground potential difference between two ends of secondary cables may cause overvoltage between core and shield and they are in the same order of magnitude.
