Dynamics of vortex motion in a periodic potential imposed by spatially inhomogenous magnetic field has been investigated both theoretically and experimentally. Series of current steps have been observed in I-V characteristics of large high-T-c macrobridges. The positions of the steps correspond via the Josephson relation, to frequencies generated in the system by coherently moving vortices. We conclude that it is possible to obtain Josephson-like effects by enforcing coherent motion of vortices in periodic magnetic structures.
