摘要
Batam is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia, with the arrival of foreign tourists' numbers, reaches above one million. The COVID-19 pandemic brings a negative impact on tourism in Indonesia, including Batam. The focus of this study is to propose an interactive mobile application and Augmented Reality for tourism sites in Batam. The interactive mobile app uses the marker-based Augmented Reality and provides information and map of tourism sites in Batam. This study utilizes the Android Studio to develop the mobile application prototype, Kudan AR SDK for the Augmented Reality, and Adobe XI) to create the interface design. The target users of this interactive application are foreign tourists as well as local tourists. The Augmented Reality provides interactive participation of visitors in the tourism site. The proposed mobile apps expect to be an approach of new normal in the tourism sector after the COVID-19 pandemic in Batam.
