The 773 and 1123 K isothermal sections of the phase diagram of the Mg-Ni-Pr ternary system

摘要
The 773 and 1123 K isothermal sections of the phase diagram of the Mg-Ni-Pr ternary system were investigated by X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis and electron microscopy techniques. The 773 K isothermal section was restricted to the Pr-poor part of the Mg-Ni-Pr ternary system. The 1123 K isothermal section was restricted to the Ni-rich part of the Mg-Ni-Pr ternary system. The (partial) 773 K isothermal section consists of 11 single-phase regions, 21 two-phase regions, and 11 three-phase regions. The (partial) 1123 K isothermal section consists of eight single-phase regions, 14 two-phase regions and seven three-phase regions. No solid solubility was observed in the regions.
