Single-crystal structure and magnetic behavior of a molecule-based ferrimagnet Mn[Mn0.2Cr0.8(CN)6]•4H2O

摘要
The compound with the stoichiometry Mn-III[Mn(III)0.2Cr(III)0.8-(CN)(6)]center dot 4H(2)O (1), which was prepared by slow diffusion of an aqueous solution of K-3[Cr(CN)(6)] and a methanol solution of [Mn(saltn)]ClO4 [saltn = N,N'-1,3-propylenebis(sahcylidene-iminato) dianion] through a U-shaped tube containing silica gel, has been characterized by elemental analysis, ICP analysis, XPS, single-crystal X-ray structure analysis, and magnetic measurements. The complex has a face-centered cubic lattice analogous to Prussian blue and indicates ferrimagnetic ordering below T-c = 63 K. (C) Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
