摘要
In Brazil and in the state of Tocantins, there is a growing demand for the use of Ayahuasca and Family Medicine consultations began to have a more mystical connotation. Regulated for religious use and scientific research throughout Brazil, new studies are glimmering horizons for its therapeutic use. Previously limited to traditional peoples, Ayahuasca is now urbanized. This whole new set of perspectives places the health professional facing challenges in the Family Health Strategy, especially in Spiritual Health and Mental Health, without forgetting the individual as a whole and demanding better training to advise those seeking Primary Health Care.
