Real-time IR image recognizing of target in sky-sea background

摘要
In order to speed up the progress of the target IR image real-time recognizing during the anti-warship missile guiding, a method is presented based on characters of the target IR image in the sky-sea background. In the course of the missile IR image guiding, the calculating speed of target recognizing and tracking is so fast that more than dozens frames of images must be completed per second (fps). So aiming at the characters of the ship IR image in the sky-sea background (such as usage of the sky-sea line position and the regularity of movement between the imaging platform and the target), the whole progress for the target IR recognizing and tracking was simplified by reducing and-combining several processing parts in the method, which can shorten the calculation time of every frame of the IR images. The method had passed on the PC with the three popular program languages (Visual Basic6.0, Visual C++6.0, and Borland C++Builder5.0) first with the average result of 25fps in 640x480 tracking window, then transfer to the DSP (TMS320C6201) got a result of more than 85 frame per second in 360x240 tracking window. The results indicate that the method is adaptive and practical.
