摘要
The investigations of temperature dependence of the birefringence in ferroelectric phases of Rb2Cd2(SO4)(3) crystals, which belong to langbeinite family were carried out. The temperature isotropic point (temperature point of the absence of linear birefringence) in Rb2Cd2(SO4)(3) crystals in monoclinic phase at T-i = 113K connected with the change of spontaneous polarization sign was experimentally founded. The existence of temperature isotropic point was explained on the base of electrooptical effect induced by spontaneous polarization. It was shown that Rb2Cd2(SO4)(3) crystals belong to the group of weak ferroelectrics.
