Optimization of coil arrangement in induction heating

摘要
In this paper, the computation results of an optimization problem of induction-heating are described. The problem is a benchmark which is proposed by the IEE of Japan. Two-dimensional eddy current distribution is calculated by two types of finite element methods: an edge-element finite element method and a nodal-element finite element method. The total eddy current distribution is obtained by the composition of the two eddy current distributions instead of a three-dimensional analysis. Optimized coil arrangement is obtained to generate uniform eddy current distribution on the surface of work piece by the steepest descent method.
