摘要
This paper focuses on the research of innovative sensors based on electromagnetic theory and techniques for various industrial and agricultural applications. The proposed sensors can operate at frequencies starting from 300 MHz to up to several gigahertz range. Some new materials including metamaterials and nanomaterials will be applied to the sensor structures for performance improvement. Some innovative sensors using electromagnetics including a metamaterial-based liquid sensor, a microfluidic sensor, a moisture content sensor, and a nanomaterial-based gas sensor were designed, implemented and measurement.
