摘要
This paper is concerned with a computational method for identification of multiple cracks in a material using virus-evolutionary genetic algorithm (VEGA). We propose the method of applying the VEGA to an identification of multiple cracks. The mathematical model of the nondestructive evaluation (NDE) system is derived from the Maxwell's equations. The admissible class of parameters is defined based on the primitive geometrical shape of cracks. The coding mechanism is given using the set of admissible parameter class. A computational method for identifying number of cracks and characterizing there geometrical shapes is proposed using the idea of VEGA. Finally, the proposed algorithm is successfully tested for the computational experiment.
