Interpretations of Fr. Holderlin's Poetry by M. Heidegger: the Quest for das Gedichtete

The article attempts to reconstruct the methodological principles of M. Heidegger's interpretation of Fr. Holderlin's poetry. The argument is built around Heidegger's lectures 19411942 on the hymn "Rememberance" ("Andenken"). The author tries to explicate some peculiar features of Heidegger's hermeneutical approach that become evident both in his delineation of the object of interpretation as das Gedichtete ("poetically composed, or founded") and in the special modes of its disclosure (constructive tautology, the strategy of "avoidance", thinking as cautious and deliberate hearing). This brings the author to the conclusion that in his elucidations of Holderlin's poetry Heidegger establishes a new reading strategy with its specific goals, methods and criteria of correspondence with the poetical word.
