摘要
Measurements were made to determine the average heat transfer behavior for transformer oil jets issuing from tiny slot nozzles of 0.091, 0.146, and 0.234 mm in width. The research was focused on initially lamianr jets in the range of Reynolds number between 67 and 413. A correlation was presented for stagnation point heat transfer rate. Local average heat transfer rates were collected, and empirical correlations were developed for heaters placed within and beyond potential core. The average Nusselt number was found to be dependent on Reynolds number, Prandtl number, and nozzle width. The experimental data were compared with the modified Martin Equation. The results indicates that Martin Equation can be extended to the ranges of large Pr number and low Re number after modification.
