Ossified spinal meningioma

Ossified meningiomas are rarely encountered in the spinal canal. The authors present the case of a 15 year old patient with a spastic paraparesis produced by an ossified intradural meningioma at the D9-D10 level, Histological examination differenciates between ossified and calcified meningiomas on the basis of the lack of osseous organization in the latter, The radiological study usually reveals specific features of one or the other type of meningioma.
