摘要：
Late Eocene foraminifera genus and species Pellatispira crassicolumnata Umbgrove is documented from Kachchh (Kutch) as an unequivocal evidence of the presence of rocks of that age in the basin. The same species has earlier been reported from Surat-Broach, Gujarat and its Kachchh occurrence Suggests the then existence of a trail of similar environments in this part of land.
