摘要
The redox properties of the transient species formed by reactions of e(aq)(-), H-atom and OH radicals with a number of corrosion inhibitors have been determined using pulse radiolysis technique. These properties have been correlated with the corrosion rates of carbon steel coupons in EDTA/ascorbic acid/citric acid (EAC) medium in the presence of these corrosion inhibitors which were determined by using d.c. electrochemical polarisation technique. The importance of these results in the context of the use of these compounds in chemical decontaminant formulations for nuclear reactor applications is discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
