Study on fractal structure of coal surface

摘要
Fractal structure of five different coals with carbon content of 79% to 91% had been studied by adsorption of nitrogen at 77K. The measured fractal dimensions D were 2<D<3 being consistent with the prediction of the theory. It had been showed that D is increased with increasing carbon content C-daf of coals. But near the C-daf value of 85%, D showed a minimum. Ash content A, and WC have also effects on D. A general correlation of D with C-daf,A(d) and H/C had been proposed.
