摘要
Today, with the advancement of technology, the interest in wireless sensor networks has increased. The main purpose of these networks is to gather information about the events around them. These networks work as nodes collect the necessary information and then send them to the recipient. These networks, each with more than one sensor, are used in many areas including health, agriculture, security, military and automation applications. The biggest problems of these networks are the energy consumption of the nodes. There are many studies to improve the performance of sensor networks which are considered as one of the current scientific subjects. These studies are mainly aimed at increasing and improving the information dissemination efficiency of networks. Low power batteries are used in the nodes. This will cause premature failure of the node as the energy consumption increases. One of the methods used to reduce energy consumption in wireless sensor networks and extend the life of the node is transmission power control. In order to increase the energy efficiency of the network, various improvements were made on the 6TiSCH protocol developed by IETF and the life cycle of the nodes was extended. In this study, a new simulation module has been proposed to control energy consumption. For the application of the proposed module, Contiki OS COOJA emulator was used. With the battery module developed as a result of the work, energy savings of %20-25 have been achieved.
