摘要
The effect of temperature, monomer composition, and initiator concentration on the kinetics of emulsifier-free emulsion butyl acrylate copolymerization with acrylonitrile and methacrylic acid, dispersion properties, mechanisms of formation and stabilization of latex particles are studied. It is found that qualitatively the effect of the above-indicated factors on the reactions of chain growth and termination in water is the same as in polymerization in the presence of emulsifier. But the role of the aforesaid elementary reactions in the polymerization process and the conditions of particle stabilization alter, which gives rise to different kinetic effects.
