摘要
A special electromagnetic brake is designed in a high speed rotating table where a quick braking is needed. Temperatures of the friction couple will rise very quickly due to the heat generated in braking process. Temperature status of the brake is analyzed in an ANSYS model when the rotating table is entirely brake at a speed of 15000 r/min within 0.15s, and different materials of friction couples are also considered in the paper. Results of simulation proved that the friction surfaces could not be sintered in the friction process, the selected iron-steel friction couple is suitable for the designed high speed brake, and the design is feasible in practical engineering.
