摘要
This paper describes the BFM(Beam Forming Module) design. Besides electric performances, this module was designed on the consideration of the size and cost reduction of APAA(Active Phased Array Antenna). For this purpose, this BFM was designed by using 10-to-4 column combiner which equally combines the receiving power of 10 RX-channels to 4 output channels. By this unequal power combining method, the quantity of active channel of APAA can be minimized, and size, weight and production cost of APAA can be considerably reduced.
