摘要：
This paper considers the solid wastes and by-products produced as a result of the generation of electricity involving steam raising through the combustion of fossil fuels. The wastes or by-products for fuels such as coal, oil or Orimulsion(TM) are described as are initiatives by the power industry to introduce and improve waste and by-product utilisation. Consideration is given to the legislative and economic influences which have driven these initiatives.
