摘要
This paper examines the standard design and simulation of a mega (5MW) solar PV system integrated into an existing grid interface in Kujama town of Southern Kaduna State, Nigeria. Interconnecting photovoltaic to a grid is dependent on disparities in Photovoltaic technologies available. PVSyst v7.1 software is used to simulate the performance ratio, energy injected into the grid, various system losses. The system has an irradiance of 1000W/m(2) with a varying operating module temperature from 18 to 50 degrees C at a tilt angle of 17 degrees with annual energy generation of 8319711KWh and 20.4% CUF. From simulation, a module area of 26,408m(2) an annual PR of 79.6% with 24281 kg's daily coal saving by this integration. The result shows that the system has high-energy output with corresponding minimal losses as well as tremendous economic viability.
