摘要
This paper proposes a novel 4-tube hollow-core anti-resonance fiber where every outer tube contains four adjacent nested inner tubes (4-tube 4AN-ARF). Compared to the anti-resonant fiber with multilayer nested tube, the four adjacent inner tubes of 4-tube 4AN-ARF adopt the same pressurization strategy, which reduces the manufacturing difficulty of optical fiber. And it has lower loss and better single-mode characteristics than the other fibers with different number of adjacent nested inner tubes. By optimizing structural parameters, the confinement loss of 4-tube 4AN-ARF is only 0.009 dB/km at 1.55 mu m, and the maximum ratio of the minimum high-order mode loss to the fundamental mode loss can reach the order of 10(5). The 4-tube 4AN-ARF has huge market potential in the field of long-distance communication.
