摘要
Some of the challenges inherent in handling sparse gridded data and showed some common methods in visualizing data sets are presented. Sparseness is suggested as an alternative to simply ignoring the missing point data sets to be blended into the visualization by creating openings in the final rendering. The method uses neighborhood information to smooth out the visual appearance of a grainy isosurface.
