摘要
This paper proposed a novel monopole antenna design for LTE/UMTS/WLAN applications used in USB dongle. The antenna is printed on a 1.6 mm thick FR4 substrate with overall dimension of 60 mm x 12 mm. The proposed antenna is comprised of an antenna section of 20 mm x 12 mm and a system ground of 40 mm x 12 mm. The RF signal is fed by a 50-ohm mini coaxial cable line. To excite broad dual-band operation, the antenna structure introduces a folded arm and a meandered arm, and penta-band applications that can cover the LTE700 (0.698-0.787 GHz), UMTS (1.92-2.17 GHz), WLAN (2.4-2.484 GHz), LTE2300 (2.305-2.4 GHz) and LTE2500 (2.5-2.69 GHz) are achieved.
