摘要
A gold-coated double core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) biosensor stand on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is conferred here. The uppermost layer of the PCF is covered with gold for easy structure building and tracking down of sample particles. For performance analysis the finite element method (FEM) is taken, and the numerical conclusions show the variation in sensing results for the sake of the refractive index (RI) of the sample. The maximum wavelength sensitivity can reach likely 28,000 nm/RIU and the amplitude sensitivity can reach likely 2380 RIU-1 for x- polarization. For y- polarization, wavelength sensitivity and amplitude sensitivity maximum value is 14000 nm/RIU and 3192 RIU-1, respectively. Because of high sensitivity, the proposed double core PCF-SPR sensor can be useful for sensing purposes like biological as well as chemical sensing.
