Resonance Rayleigh scattering spectroscopy of yellow CdS naoparticle

摘要
There is a strongest Rayleigh scattering peak at 470 nm for CdS nanoparticle when its concentration is less than 5x10(-4) mol/L, in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol. When the concentration is more than 7.5x10(-4) mol/L, a strongest resonance Rayleigh scattering peak appears at 520 nm. There is no absorption peak for the yellow nanoparticle system. However, the concentration in the range of 0similar to2x10(-3) mol/L CdS is linear to its A(400 nm). The effect of lamp house and the concentration of reagents on the resonance Rayleigh scattering were studied. The diameter of CdS nanoparticle is about 43 nm when its concentration is in the range of 7.5x10(-4)similar to2.0x10(-3) mol/L. The results show that the un-distribution emission intensity of Xe lamp, and the formation of CdS nanoparticle in big size are important factors to produce resonance scattering peaks.
