摘要
This paper presents a global automatic process for the integration of satellite synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images with rapid mapping for crisis management. The process consists of methods for the rapid geometric correction of slant-range TerraSAR-X images, and the geometric co-registration and radiometric merging of SAR data with satellite optical images using global digital elevation models (DEMs) and geoid models. The process is invariant to both radiometry and geometry, and is applied to high-resolution Single-look Slant-range Complex (SSC) TerraSAR-X images over suburban and rural areas. Resume Cet article presente un processus automatique global d'integration d'images radar satellitales dans la cartographie rapide de gestion de crise. Le processus est base sur des methodes de correction geometrique rapide d'images TerraSAR-X en distance oblique, de recalage geometrique et de fusion radiometrique des images radar avec des images satellitales optiques au moyen de MNT globaux et de modeles de geoide. Le processus est invariant, tant en termes radiometriques que geometriques. Il est applique a des images TerraSAR-X SSC a haute resolution sur des zones periurbaines et rurales. Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag stellt einen globalen automatischen Prozess zur Integration von SAR Satellitenbilddaten in schnelle Kartierungsprozesse fur das Krisenmanagement. Der Prozess besteht aus Methoden fur die schnelle geometrische Korrektur der Schragentfernungen der TerraSAR-X Bilddaten und die geometrische Ko-Registrierung und radiometrische Verschmelzung von SAR Daten mit optischen Satellitenbilddaten mit Hilfe von globalen digitalen Hohen- und Geoid-Modellen. Der Prozess ist invariant bezuglich Radiometrie und Geometrie und wird auf hochauflosende SSC TerraSAR-X Bilddaten uber suburbanen und landlichen Gebieten eingesetzt. Resumen En este articulo se presenta un proceso automatico global de mapeo rapido para la gestion de crisis integrando imagenes de satelite SAR. El proceso consiste en metodos para la correccion geometrica rapida de las imagenes de TerraSAR-X de alcance inclinado, y el registro geometrico y fusion radiometrica de los datos SAR con imagenes opticas de satelite usando modelos globales de MED y geoides.
