摘要
Currently, the greatest risk for diabetes mellitus is the development of the diabetic chronic complications(DCC),evidence in animals and humans has suggested that one of the pathogenesis on DCC is the increased activity of aldose reductase(AR) - the key enzyme of polyol pathway, regulation of AR through the use of potent aldose reductase inhibitors(ARIs) appears to provide a promising new direct mode of treatment for DCC that are independent of the control of blood glucose level. In this paper, we examined the role of AR in DCC, four sections are included in this study.
