Data mining application for construction and real estate management

Information plays an important role in the construction and real estate management. In the long past, construction professionals have to go through tedious operations to find the relevant information. With the rapid development of the information technology and web search, search engines are used to help professionals to collect the required information based on user's specification(often the words). Based on techniques established in pattern recognition and experience of using data mining in intelligent applications, the data mining approach has been proposed to significantly increase the usefulness and effectiveness of information abstraction used in the area of professional applications. Data mining application for construction and real estate management is introduced in this paper. Some methods of information abstraction about construction management are discussed in detail. Finally, the estimate about using the new technology in the construction area is analyzed briefly.
