摘要
After a brief introduction to the theory of multiresolution analysis (MRA), the differences between seismic and sonic log in scalar are studied, The MRA technique is firstly used to match the seismic with sonic logging data. The effectiveness of this technique is verified via both theoretical modeling and field data. Comparison with the conventional anti-alias filtering method shows that the MRA technique provides better localization of the signals and better matching between the seismic and sonic log data.
