An adaptive security/performance encryption system

摘要
Security is an important issue for today's communications. Many commercial and governmental organizations are no longer willing to send their sensitive information unsecured over an insecure network. Encrypting files or exchanged messages as a set' of segments in encryption systems can compromise between security and performance of such systems. This system can be proved both analytically and by measuring actual results of such systems prototype. As recent algorithms, specifically AES, are designed to use variable key lengths, this facility has been used to propose an encryption system that compromise between security and performance using the concept of segmentation. Measurements have been captured and obtained results prove the system efficiency. In this article the proposed system has been presented, together, with a quantitative evaluation which proves the efficiency of the system in case of using same algorithm with different key lengths.
