Measurement of the thermal nonlinear refractive index of air at 1.064 microns using a cw laser

摘要
The thermal nonlinearity of air at 1.064 microns was measured to be (-5.7 +/- 0.6) x 10(-14) cm(2)/W using a high-finesse Fabry-Perot cavity and a 500 mW cw laser with a 0.27 mm beam waist. The dominant contributant was identified as O-2. (C) 2000 Optical Society of America.
