Development of E-Commerce in Romania within The Worldwide E-Commerce Development

Electronic commerce is a process that fundamentally changed people's lives. Because of its benefits, it has spread rapidly eliminating many of the limitations of traditional business. Globally. e-Commerce has become a necessary component of corporate strategies used to obtain competitive advantage. The use of infmmation technology in business determined the enhance of productivity, attracted more customers and made possible reducing costs. In our days the world is constantly evolving and developing. Also time seems to compress. In this conditions, people need a faster way to purchase. Thus, in the globalization era, e-Commerce is developing and changing very fast. In the 90s only 1% of European and American companies adopted the system of electronic transfer of the document. In 2012 the total profit derived from e-Commerce was about 5371 billion $ in the United States of America and in 2013 European Union e-Commerce accounted 14% from the total sales turnover. Over the years e-Commerce has gained more and more field in the commercial area. In this paper we want to emphasize the trend should be followed by the development of e-Commerce in our country according with customer needs. For this, we developed a questionnaire, and all the answers were compared with the results obtained for similar studies for global e-Commerce area and at the end of the paper we try to will make some recommendations for e-Commerce future trend.
