摘要
Y Coffee Waste Water (CWW) has a high polluting potential if released into the environment without treatment, requiring research for alternatives that reduce the concentration of its pollutants. For this reason, the objective of this work was to evaluate how the quality of CWW submitted to electrolytic treatment reflected in the variables: sugars, phenols and total solids, aluminum, electrical conductivity, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), redox potential (ORP), pH, turbidity and temperature throughout the treatment. An electrolytic reactor with a volume of 1 L was used in a configuration of electrodes in polar mode in parallel, plate distance (DP) of 20 mm, current density (DC) of 100 A m(-2) and intervals of effluent collection in the reactor every 1-minute operating in batch. It was found that turbidity is influenced by pH and by the CWW characteristics, such as dissolved solids. Part of the aluminum generated in the reactor is incorporated into the floated sludge and the removal of some pollutants is low when assessing the behavior of the COD, sugars and total solids, while the turbidity and total phenols showed satisfactory removals. Under the conditions evaluated, the treatment showed an oxidative potential to CWW, favoring the removal of organic compounds over time.
