Service interaction in next generation networks: Challenges and opportunities

摘要：
The migration from circuit-switch to IP-based technologies and the growing role of Internet and mobility pave the way for Next Generation Networks. The deregulation process boosts a new market of advanced consumer and business services. New service platforms and architectures are emerging. This paper tries to analyse the issue of service interaction in this rapidly changing world of telecommunication. By taking a closer look at the future platforms for service creation and provisioning, such as Parlay and JAIN, new possible categories of service interactions are identified and new opportunities for providing effective interaction management are outlined.
